Muted Labs makes TBoard: Letterboard AAC Typing — apraxia-friendly, typing-first letterboard AAC for nonspeaking children and adults who communicate by spelling. It works like a letterboard that talks: large, well-spaced letter targets on iPad or an Android tablet, forgiving touch settings for hands that standard screens have failed, and speech for whatever is typed — with daily spelling lessons built on the same board.

It was built by the brother of a nonspeaking adult with severe speech apraxia. TBoard is independent and method-neutral, is not therapy, and makes no treatment claims. The communication core is free.
